This session will include discussions on why data collection is essential, different types of data, what data to include in IEPs, and how to share information that is very specific to education to families who may not be educators. The session will provide the participant with formal data vocabulary, small group practice, and opportunities to practice collecting and sharing data.
Post-secondary planning for students with disabilities includes an academic, social, and emotional assessment of the student’s needs to be successful. Upon obtaining this pertinent data an appropriate and meaningful transition plan is developed. Participants will understand how the students’ academic achievement along with the current functional skills lead to an effective transition plan.
